OBITUARY.

Fred Lee, son of Andrew and Emma RICHARDSON, was born June 17, 1897, in Riley Township, Ringgold Co. IA.

On Feb 11 he suffered a heart attack and was taken to the Ringgold County Hospital where he passed away one month later, March 11th, 1954 at the age of 56 years, 8 months, and 6 days.

On December 15, 1918, he was married to Elsie CALDWELL. They established their home on the farm where he was born and where they continued to live until his death.

When a young man he confessed his faith in Christ at Caledonia, and as he realized the end was near, he reassured his devoted wife that all was well with the Lord and that he would be waiting for her in heaven.

He was a kind and loving husband, always thinking of his companion, and a friendly neighbor to all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Mrs Nellie BURCHETT of Des Moines, who passed away only two days before.

He leaves to mourn his passing his devoted wife, a sister, Mrs Pearl STEPHENS of Mount Ayr, one brother, Homer of Lamoni and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, March 14, 1954 at two o'clock from the Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. Emerson McANINCH of Muskegon Heights, Mich., assisted by Rev. C. W. WOLLARD. Music was provided by Mr and Mrs Robert HUDSON, with Margaret PENCE at the Organ, and casketbearers were Bob and Dick RICHARDSON, Raymond STEPHENS, Junior and Victor SHIELDS and Lyle CALDWELL. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery.
