OBITUARY - MARGARET (MACKEY) PLACE

Margaret M. PLACE, 85, of Mount Ayr died June 30, 2006, at Clearview Home in Mount Ayr.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 5, at Wilson-Watson and Armstrong Funeral Home, 205 W. Monroe St., Mount Ayr. The Rev. Edward SHIELDS will officiate the service. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery at Mount Ayr. Open visitation will be 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Mount Ayr. Memorials may be directed to Mount Ayr First Christian Church and Public Library and Rose Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. PLACE, daughter of Ollie (UPP) and Ben F. MACKEY, was born November 30, 1920, in Nettleton, Mo. On July 3, 1941, she married Joe N. PLACE in Bethany, Mo. She was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church, PEO, Today's Woman, American Legion Auxiliary and Mount Ayr Golf and Country Club.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Billy PLACE, daughter Ruth Ann PLACE, five brothers and four sisters.
