NOTICE of DEATH.

A sad death occurred in this place last Monday. The deceased, John FELLER, by name, stopped here last fall on his return to Illinois from a trip to Kansas. he had raised a nice crop on Squire OSBORNE's place, and was in town at the time he took sick. During his sickness he was asked whether he had any relatives, but he refused to give any information on that point. It is thought, however, that he has a sister in Ohio, and whom he was not on good terms. His malday was tyhpoid fever, to which he succumbed, after a short illness, last Monday, the funeral occurring the next day. He was a quiet, unassuming young man who made a good many friends; but his life went out in a strange land, with no relative near to cheer him in the darksome hours, when he felt his boat launching out and upon the chill waters of the interminable beyond.

NOTE: John FELLER died at about the age of 25 years on August 9th, 1880 with interment at Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Ringgold County, Iowa.
