OBITUARY - JULIA E. (DEHART) DRAKE.

Julia E. DEHART, daughter of Larkin and Sarah DEHART, and wife of J. R. DRAKE, died February 23, aged 41 years.

She was born in Indiana, February 23, 1846, and when quite young moved with her parents to Warren county, Illinois. She united with the M. E. church when about 14 years of age. In May, 1864, she came to Davis county, Missouri, on a visit, and while there she was united in marriage to Rev. J. R. DRAKE, August 21, 1864. In the fall of 1866 she with her husband united with the Missionary Baptist church, by experience and baptism, and at her death was a member of the Caledonia Baptist church. She lived a holy christian life, till the 23rd of February, her birthday, when with a beautiful smile, she passed away from the sorrows of earth to the joys of heaven. She leaves a husband, five children and many warm friends to mourn her loss.

The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. E. AUXIER, at the Mt. Zion church, from 2 Thess. 4:13, 14.

NOTE: Rev. J. R. DRAKE was born in 1846 and died on January 18, 1897. Both Rev. and Julia DRAKE were interred at Mount Zion Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.
