Mr. DICKINSON was the youngest of 14 children, all of which have passed to the Great Beyond. He spent the greater part of his life in Iowa, having left Indiana when a young man. In 1899 he was married to Murvilla STEWART and settled on a farm near Colo, Iowa. She passed away two years later. He then came to Kellerton, Iowa, and for a number of years was employed by W. L. Frisby & Company and other business firms until he was forced to give up active work on account of his health.

In early life he was converted and became a member of the First Day Adventist church. His aim in life was that he should live bearing the marks that would be uplifting to the community in which he lived.

He leaves his son, Gilbert L., a daughter Ethel of Kellerton, Iowa; and one granddaughter, Mrs. Ralph CRONIN of Schaller, Iowa; besides numerless near relatives and a host of friends who mourn his passing.
