OBITUARY - I. N. CRABLE

I. N. [Isaac N.] CRABLE an old and highly respected citizen of Mt. Ayr, died at three o'clock Monday morning after a short illness. He had been in poor health for a long time, but his fatal illness has only lasted since Wednesday. Mr. CRABLE was born March 10, 1922 in Fayette county, Pa. He remained there until he grew to early manhood, and then moved to Ohio. He was married August 6, 1854, to Mary A. THATCHER. To them were born two children, who are both living, Mrs. B. L. JOHNSTON and Mrs. W. F. SCORCE of Rice Township. The family came to Mount Ayr in 1872, where they have since resided.

Mr. CRABLE was a man of modest, retiring disposition. He was a man of absolute integrity and a valuable member of the community in which he lived. The funeral services were conducted yesterday at 10:30 from the residence by Rev. H. P. DUDLEY and the interment was made in Rose Hill Cemetery.

NOTE: Mary A. (THATCHER) CRABLE was born on March 8, 1824 and died March 9, 1914. She was interred beside her husband, Isaac N., in Rose Hill Cemetery, Mount Ayr, Iowa.
