DEATH of WALTER COON

Father Walter COON died on Tuesday the 16th (sic), at 4 a.m., at his home near Lesan. "He was a good man and full of faith,: He was perhaps full eighty years of age. His life was long and eventful. We hope that some one who has known him will furnish us with a complete obituary. He was buried at Lesan [Sweet Home] cemetery Wednesday, at 2 p.m. Services by Rev. E. E. WILEY.

OBITUARY
Walter COON was born near Niagra Falls, Canada, on October 7th, 1806. In the year of 1830 he gave his heart to God, and united with the M. E. church. He was married in 1836 to Miss Phoebe CLARK. There were born to them five children, four of whom are living. Mr. COON moved with his family to Illinois, in 1855 and remained till 1865, when he came to Ringgold county, Iowa, where he remained till his death. Father COON died at his residence, at 3:45 a.m., May 17th, 1887. The funeral services were conducted at the residence, by P. J. VOLLMAR and E. E. WILLEY.
