OBITUARY - Mrs. W. B. BURCHETT

Mary Scott RICHARDSON, daughter of William and Ellen RICHARDSON, was born in Ringgold county, Iowa, on May 24, 1869, and departed from this life January 27, 1932, at her home near Ringgold, at the age of 62 years, eight months and three days. She spent her entire life in Ringgold county.

She was united in marriage to William B. BURCHETT April 5, 1892. To this union eight children were born. Three of them, George Allen, Jenny Arlen and Donald, preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, her loving husband; four sons, Charley, Hugh, Cleo and Howard, all of Ringgold county; one daughter, Lavon, at home; five brothers, Wm., Andrew, Jake, Charley and George RICHARDSON; one sister, Mrs. Janett GORSCUCH, of Kellerton; besides a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. BURCHETT joined the Methodist church of Mount Zion in the year 1890 and remained true to her faith to the end. She was a good wife, mother and neighbor. Sympathetic and always ready to lend comfort to those in sorrow. Her familiar face and cheerful personality will be greatly missed by her many friends.

We have lost our darling mother,
She has bid us all adieu;
She has gone to live in heaven,
And her form is lost to view.
Oh, that dear one, how we loved her,
Oh, how hard to give her up;
But an angel came down for her,
And removed her from our flock.
Funeral services were held at the Mount Zion church on Saturday morning, January 30, at eleven o'clock, conducted by T. S. RHOADES, and interment made in the Mount Zion cemetery [Ringgold County, Iowa].
