OBITUARY - IVA S. BROWN

Iva S. BROWN, daughter of Miles C. and Abbie BROWN, was born October 23, 1893, and departed this life July 18, 1925, being thirty-one years, eight months and twenty-five days old.

She was converted at the age of 15 and was a member of the M. E. church at Hickory Grove for a number of years; a very faithful attendant at Sunday school and church. For the last several years she has been a worshiper with the Penticostal people of Pleasant Hill, accepting the deeper work of the baptism of the Holy Ghost according to the Bible plan. Even in the last weeks of suffering her greatest pleasure was in prayer to God, with those of like precious faith.

Her life was one of great suffering for a good many years, yet always striving not to be a burden to those who cared for her.

She leaves to mourn her loss her aged father and mother, two sisters and three brothers - Jessie E. and Burton BROWN, of Cheyenne, Wyoming; George of Chapell, Neb.; Roy, of Chugwater, Wyoming; and Mrs. Mabel THOMPSON, of Mount Ayr, Iowa. Numerous other relatives and a host of friends.

She taught school until her health failed and was always much interested in the progress of pupils as they grew to mature years.

Thus another life is gone, but its influence goes on, which should remind us all to keep in rememberance that our influence does not stop with the expiration of this life.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. BALL at the Hickory Grove church, followed by a few remarks by Elmer TRULLINGER. The singers were Mr. and Mrs. Nate LAMB, Mrs. Grace MAUDLIN, Mrs. Clare STRAUN and Clark PRATT. The pall bearers: Joel and Ivan VOLNOGGLE, Edward MAULDIN, Earl AUSTIN, Merle RISK and Merle JAMES. [Interment was at Hickory Grove Cemetery, Ringgold County, Iowa.]

CARD OF THANKS.
We take this method of expressing our gratitude to the friends who so kindly assisted us in caring for our loved one and for all the acts of kindness in our great bereavement; also for the beautiful floral offerings.

Mr. and Mrs. Miles BROWN
Mr. and Mrs. Geo. BROWN
