Thursday, October 27, 1966Army private Maurice E. Hoffman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Olin V. Hoffman, RFD, Mount Ayr, recently received outstanding recognition when he was designated the honor graduate in an accelerated class which completed in five weeks, a regularly scheduled eight-week course, in food inspection procedures at the U. S. Army medical service Veterinary school in Chicago, IL. One of 11 high-potential students selected for the accelerated course, Hoffman was awarded at graduation a special diploma and letter of commendation.
