Taylor family reunion

The last Saturday in June, June 27, the annual Taylor family reunion was in Ringgold county. The weather was pretty good and all had fun.
At 8 a.m., there were 24 men golfers and two lay golfers at the Mount Ayr Country Club. All had a fun time and some prizes were handed out.

Around 4 p.m. in the afternoon, people started arriving at the lower level of the Back 40. There were 109 present and a few more who golfed but didn't come eat.

We had two births, no deaths and four marriages in the last year. Once again as in the past, Edna Jones and Alice Mae Johnston were our leaders and Sully Powell was the youngest present at 13 months. None of the new babies were present at the reunion. Jan and Larry Dalbey traveled the farthest and Clifford's family had 30 present. Floyd's family had 29 and Bessie's family had 25.

Special thans to Kathy and Terri for getting the frog jumping contest going (Alex for getting the frogs) and the bubble-gum blowing contest. Later they had sparklers to enjoy.

Big thanks to Rusty and Tami for bringing their sound system and music and songs and to Kathy Rinehart for emceeing the evening. Thanks also to Back 40 for the good food.

Plans are to meet again next year at the same place, June 25, 2016.
