Allen Family Reunion

Twenty-four descendants of George William and Harriet Minerva ALLEN, formerly of Kellerton, met for dinner and visiting Sunday, July 8, 2007.

Present were LeRoy and Betty Jean TRIMBLE of Mount Ayr; David and Carolyn WADE, Melissa, Nicholas and Alexander of Carroll; Sharon LORANCE of Independence, MO; Mike and Denise JACKSON of Centerville;

Myrna JOHNSON of Stanton; Myna GIBBENS, Jeff and James of McFarland, WI; Dorothy HUGHES and Mari HUGHES of Mount Ayr; Sheila MAINQUIST, Christine and John of Red Oak; William JENSEN of Leon; Johnny and Doris JENSEN of Atlantic and Dennis and Betty DEEMER of Leon. These families represent Orr and Helen ALLEN, Forrest and Verna SMITH, Russell and Lois HUGHES and Axel and Viva JENSEN.

Some brought non-perishable food items for the local food bank, their small way to bless the community that their loved ones remembered so well.
