RUCKMAN REUNION

The second annual reunion of the descendants of Homer and Diamond RUCKMAN, former Mount Ayr residents, was held Saturday, July 13, 2002, at the Allendale [Missouri] Community Betterment Hall.

The day was spent with everyone enjoying good food and conversation and a lot of picture taking. Helen and Tom SHAY'S 50th wedding anniversary was celebrated. The annual croquet game was won by Delbert JACKSON of Allendale, MO and his great-nephew Brandon MONTGOMERY of Greenfield.

At a short meeting new family additions were acknowledged: three marriages and the first baby of the next generation.

Rex RUCKMAN of Stockton, CA came back to attend the reunion. Other family members present were Mabel SMITH of Mount Ayr, the only living sibling of Diamond; Helen, Mike and Jerry SHAY, Doris ENGLAND, Kathy SIMPSON and Diane GIBRIL, Des Moines; Teresa, Howard, Brandon and Patrese MONTGOMERY, Greenfield; Rexanne and Jennifer CHAPMAN, Perry; Hazel and Delbert JACKSON, Allendale; Mike JACKSON, Maryville, MO; Karin JACKSON, Atlantic; John, Debbie and Alex JACKSON, Hannibal, MO; John RUCKMAN, Liberty, MO; Rebekah RUCKMAN, Mill Valley, CA; Daniel and Lisa RUCKMAN, Kansas City, MO; Chuck, Mary Ellen and Jeff SHIMERDLA, Omaha, NE.
