Grand Valley Tigers add second victory of summer
Grand Valley's Tigers moved their record to 2-0 this week with a South Central Six conference debut victory over Lineville-Clio 11-9 in Kellerton Thursday night.

The Tigers took an early lead and were up 5-3 until Lineville splurged with five runs in the top of the fifth. Darin WOOKEY, who had pounded a solo home run in the second inning, came through again the the bottom of the fifth for Grand Valley, this with with a 3-run blast, to tie the game.

The Tigers then went on to score three runs in the bottom of the sixth to ice the victory.

Darren CAMPBELL and Aaron SICKELS both singled twice and Todd BOLES, Ricky VANDERFLUGHT and Roy FIFER all picked up hits for the GV squad.

Aaron SICKELS hurled the victory, striking out six and walking 13.

The Tigers were to travel to Diagonal Tuesday night and host Prescott tonight (Thursday), Murray is the next foe there Thursday, June 18.
