Thursday, April 23, 1987Another county landmark disappeared this week when the Maloy school was demolished. The brick building was built in 1917 at the cost of $20,000 and was equipped with "manual training" and "domestic science" facilities, as well as what was then an excellent gymnasium. The building was built when rural schools in the area joined to become the Maloy Consolidated School District.
