Vera Daughton turned 100 years old on April 5. On April 14 Representative David Young of the third district announced the occasion to the House of Representaives and sent her a certificate of recognition with a copy of the announcement. Matt Routh, assistant administrator of Clearview Home, presented Vera with the certificate during a presentation.
On hand to view the presentation were her daughter, Kay Sickels and husband Bob and daughter-in-law Nancy Daughton.
Vera isn't the only centrion residing at Clearview Home. Don Strange is 102. Helen Blunck is 101 and Edith Wood is 100.
