SCHNOEBELEN RITES FRIDAY

Leta Schnoebelen, 72, of 522 N. Second, Washington, Iowa, died Tuesday morning, April 6, at Washington County Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the Sherman-Eden Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell at approximately 3 p.m.

The daughter of John and Leota Harris, she was born May 27, 1909, in Putnam County, Mo. She was married to Roscoe Salyers on Jan. 23, 1928, at Montezuma. He died on Feb. 26, 1962. On June 5, 1965, she was married to Harold Schnoebelen at Washington. Mr. Schnoebelen died July 25, 1978.

Survivors include two sons, Carol Salyers of Newton and William Salyers of Washington; five grandchildren; and two sisters. She was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

A memorial has been established at the First Baptist Church in Washington.

NOTE: Her son, Darrell L. Salyers (1937-1969), is not mentioned in her obituary.
