PERK DELK

Perk Delk, 91, Perry, died Aug. 26 at a Leavenworth hospital.

Mr. Delk was a self-employed electrician before he retired.

He was born Dec. 27, 1893 in Kentucky, the son of George and Gertrude Huff Delk. He moved with his parents to the Valley Falls community in 1898, and moved to the Perry community,in 1928.

He was an Army veteran of World War I.

Mr. Delk was a member of Perry Lodge No. 415, AF&AM, and Perry Post No. 142 of the American Legion, both at Perry.

He was married to Stella Mitchell Oct. 19, 1920, at GRINNELL, IOWA. She died April 27, 1971.

Survivors include a son, George Delk, Huntsville, Ala., and a grandson.

Graveside services were Aug. 28 at Valley Falls Cemetery with the Rev. James Bailey, minister, Assembly of God Church, Williamstown, officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Geriatric Center, Winchester.
