Jorani Lynn Pollock, five-month-old daughter of Jeremy and Sotterry Pollock of Crofton, Md., died Sunday, June 1, 2008, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Md.
Funeral services for Jorani Lynn Pollock were held at 10:30 a.m. today (Monday) at the Grinnell United Methodist Church, with Deacon Diane Eberhart officiating. Pallbearers included Michael Pollock and Michael Crow. Burial was in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.
Born Dec. 10, 2007, at Portsmouth Navy Medical Center in Portsmouth, Va., she was baptized on May 30, 2008, at the Johns Hopkins Hospital.
She was loving and happy and smiled a lot. She enjoyed being held and liked to talk and babble. She enjoyed playing patty-cake and watching "Bee Movie."
She is survived by her parents; her grandparents, Michael and Lorna Pollock of Grinnell, Diane Pollock and Henry Olson of Cedar Rapids and Sary Vang and Sourng Kat of Seattle, Wash.; and her great-grandparents, Ronald and Marge Crow of Cherokee Village, Ark., and Val Klinker of Sioux Falls, S.D.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Believe in Tomorrow National Children's Foundation or to the Jorani Lynn Pollock Memorial Fund.
