LYNN MEYERS SERVICES SET

Lynn E. Myers, 34, of Denver, Colo., formerly of Grinnell, was electrocuted Tuesday morning at an irrigation rig near Colorado Springs, Colo., while training for an industrial mission to Saudi Arabia.

Funeral services will b e conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home here, with burial at Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorials in Mr. Meyers' name may be to Grinnell General Hospital and left at the funeral home.

The son of Kenneth E. Meyers, now of Murphreesboro, Tenn., and Doris Hartley of Rte. 3, Grinnell, he was born March 19, 1948, at Kearney, Neb. He came to Grinnell in 1963, graduating from Grinnell High School in 1967. He attended Marshalltown Community College for two years.

He served for two years with the U.S. Army in Vietnam, then returned to attend the University of Northern Iowa, also for two years. He had lived in Denver since 1978 where he had been associated with the Chamber of Commerce in a public relations post. In recent months he had been associated with Tu??ac Industries, Inc., and was due to leave later this month for Saudi Arabia, with which the firm had an irrigation contract.

Survivors include his parents; two children, Laura and Vanessa Meyers of Des Moines; his paternal grandmother, Alberta Meyers of Montezuma; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Teed of Searsboro; a sister, Judy Brummeyer of Milwaukee, Wis., a brother, Kenneth E. Meyers of Pella; and a half-brother, Delane Patterson of Macon, Ga.
