EMERY G. BENTON, 83

Emery G. Benton, 83, of Duluth, passed away on Aug. 21, 2010, peacefully in his home with his loving wife at his side.

He was born Oct. 26, 1926. Emery served his country during World War II. He was a long time employee of the Mesabi Railroad. Emery enjoyed fishing, baking and playing poker.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Visitation: 2 until the 4:30 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2010, in the Cremation Society of Minnesota Chapel, 4100 Grand Ave., Duluth. Social gathering will follow. Services entrusted to the Cremation Society of Minnesota, (218) 624-5200.

Emery Guy Benton was the son of Guy and Elizabeth Emily "Bessie" (Davenport) Benton, who are buried in Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell, Iowa. Emery was married 3 times: Mae Ethel Weidendorf; Dorothy A. Lamkin; and Bui T. Tran
