BLANCHE LYNCH RITES TODAY

Blanche Lynch, 75, of Millbrae, Calif., died Wednesday evening, Dec. 25, at her home.

The daughter of Edwin F. and Rosa Carroll Lynch, she was born July 23, 1899, in Chester Township north of Grinnell. She was graduated from Grinnell High School and attended the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls where she obtained her teaching certificate. She taught in Iowa for 15 years before going to California in 1954. She taught there for 30 years in the San Mateo County Elementary School.

She was a member of St. Dunstan's Catholic Church in Millbrae and was a member of the San Mateo County Retired Teachers Association.

Survivor's include four sisters, Miss Grace Lynch of Millbrae, Sister M. Madonna Lynch, OSF and Sister M. Edmund Lynch, OSF, both of Clinton, Iowa, and Mrs. Victor (Murl) Allen of Santa Clara, Calif.

The Mass of the Resurrection was held at 10 a.m. today (Monday) at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leo V. Kuebrich, pastor of the church, officiating. The reader was Thomas Verden, M.D., of Columbia, Mo., and pallbearers were Pierce Comerford, James D. Cunningham, Don Donohoe, Leo W. Flanagan, Robert Groves and Bernard Schmitz.

Burial was at Hazelwood Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. The vigil service was held at 7 p.m. Sunday at the Smith Funeral Home.
