MARY COLLEEN WUERTZ

Mary Colleen Marsh Wuertz, 65, of Gardner, KS, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. Celebration of Life will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S. Center, Gardner, KS 66030. Visitation will be 1-3:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Susan G. Komen Foundation. Colleen Wuertz was born August 22, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, IA to Robert Eugene Marsh and Audrey Rayl Marsh. Colleen attended Linn-Marr High School and later graduated from St. Mary's College. She was a school teacher in the Gardner Edgerton USD 231 District, retired, but continued to substitute teach. Colleen enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening and loved teaching.

Colleen was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her son, Nick Marsh of Prairie Village, KS; sisters: *Sheryl Treu of Colorado and Jeanne Marsh of Salt Lake City and brother, David Marsh of Colorado.
