MRS. ONLEY SISCO
RITES TUESDAY

Mrs. Olney Sisco, 76, of 829 Pearl St. in Grinnell, died early Saturday morning at the home of her son Shirley, where she had lived the past five years.

Mrs. Sisco was born in Newburg, Iowa, on July 29, 1890, to Frank and Louella Andrews Lewis. She attended the local schools of Newburg.

On March 22, 1908, she was united in marriage with Melvin LeRoy Sisco at Marshalltown. To this union were born six sons.

Mrs. Sisco lived in Marshalltown after her marriage and returned to Newburg and Grinnell to live about 1916.

She was a member of the Calvary Baptist church in Grinnell and held membership in the American Legion Auxiliary and the Mother's Club.

She is survived by five sons--Shirley of Grinnell, Lloyd of Hemet, Calif., DeVerne of Costa Mesa, Calif., Mervin L. and Melvin F., both of Anamosa, Iowa. Another son, Merle, passed away at the age of 14.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; four brothers--Locke Lewis, Ed Lewis, Verne Lewis and Earl Lewis--and a sister, Mrs. Glen (Katherine) LaFavor of Port Coquitlam, B.C. Canada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Melvin, her son, Merle, a sister, Ethel Clark, and a brother, George Lewis.

Funeral services for Mrs. Sisco will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Smith Funeral Home with the Rev. Vernon L. Smith, pastor of the Calvary Baptist church, officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Leonard Pearce. Casket bearers will be Gordon Hendrickson, Doyle Weaver, Donald Weaver, Virgil Lidtka, Earl Graham, and Webb Wallace.

Burial will be in Hazelwood cemetery.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home.
