ANDREW M. CAPERS

Andrew Michael Capers, 28, of Grinnell, died Monday, June 16, 2003, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

A funeral service will be held Saturday June 21, at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Len Eberhart officiating. Organist will be Keith Sadko and vocal music will be Milton Severe. Pallbearers will be David Abarr, Douglas Brockman, Daniel and Nathan Damico, Louis De Cardenas, Jim Griggs and Jim White. Burial will be at Hazelwood Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Anderw Capers Memorial Fund.

The son of Fred Wallis and Susan Kathleen Heffner Capers, he was born May 23, 1975, in Princeton, N.J., and moved with his family to Grinnell in 1976. He was a 1993 graduate of Grinnell High School and while a student lettered in both cross country and swimming.

He is survived by his parents; his triplet sister, Celeste Capers of St. Louis, Mo.; his maternal grandmother, Kathleen Heffner of Grinnell; his maternal aunt, Cynthia Heffner Love of Birmingham, Ala., and his paternal aunt, Stacy Capers De Cardenas of Coral Gables, Fla. He was preceded in death by his triplet brother, Justin; his maternal grandfather, Willard Heffner, and his paternal grandparents, Fred and Veronica Capers.
