FRED J. PLUM'S DEATH.

A peculiarly sad death was that of Fred J. Plum who died Tuesday night after an illness of ten days. The funeral was held yesterday, there being but a brief service at the grave conducted by Rev. J.M. Brown. The young man was but 22 years old and leaves a wife and little baby. Fred was a fine young fellow with a happy home.

One sad thing about the death and funeral was the fact that the entire family except the father are down with the flu, and he alone was able to attend the service at the grave.

His brother, Charlie, of Newton, has been at his home helping to husk corn and he too is down with the flu.

Many friends are expressing deepest sympathy for all the bereaved relatives.
