GERALD BRIGNON

Gerald Brignon, 57, of Colorado Springs, Colo., formerly of Grinnell, died of emphysema Tuesday, Dec. 29, at a hospice in Colorado Springs.

Services will be held there, and graveside services will be conducted at a later date at Hazelwood Cemetery in Grinnell.

He was born April 17, 1941, in Grinnell to Ernest and Mary Turney Brignon. He attended school in Searsboro, then served with the U.S. Air Force.

While living in Colorado, he worked at the Red Cloud Restaurant in Cascade, Bobby's Camper Sales, the Ideal Cabinet Shop and Crete Carrier Service.

Surviving are a brother, Richard of Grinnell, and one sister, Beverly Davis of Quitman, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marion Covey.

Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Association and sent in care of the Smith Funeral Home, P.O. Bo 368, Grinnell 50112.
