INA HUTCHISON SERVICES TODAY

Ina Mae Hutchison, 89, of Malcom died Monday noon at Friendship Manor.

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. today at the Malcom Methodist Church, with the Rev. Lawrence Fitzpatrick officiating. Organist was JoAnn Schneekloth. Pallbearers were George Baustian, Darrell Neville, William Neville, Willis Pease, John Puls and Harvey Tindle. Graveside rites were conducted by members of the Poweshiek Rebekah Lodge of Malcom. Burial was at Ivy Hill Cemetery, with the Smith Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Should friends desire, memorials in Mrs. Hutchison's name may be made to the Malcom Methodist Church.

The daughter of William and Cora Nutting Neville, she was born May 12, 1891, at Malcom. She attended rural school in the Malcom area.

On Feb. 4, 1915, she was married to Cooper J. Hutchison at her parents' home near Malcom. Following their marriage, the couple farmed northeast of Malcom for two years and later moved to a farm northwest of Malcom, where they farmed for 43 years. Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison boarded teachers of Malcom School No. 2 for many years. In 1960, they retired and moved to Malcom.

Survivors include a son, Claire Hutchison of Malcom; a daughter, Gladys Baltisberger, also of Malcom; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha Baustian of Friendship Manor; and a brother, Orville Neville of Malcom. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and a brother, Rex Neville.

Mrs. Hutchison had lived at Friendship Manor since 1977. She was a member of the Malcom Methodist Church and the W.S.C.S. of the church. She also taught Sunday school. She was a member of the Farm Bureau, a charter member of the Pleasant Hill Grange, and a 65-year member of the Poweshiek Rebekah Lodge.
