EARL B. "HUTCH" HUTCHISON

Earl "Hutch" Hutchison of Dexter, son of the late Herbert Willis and Ruby Mae Wells Hutchison, was born in Scobey, Montana on October 29, 1921, and passed away at the Golden Living Center in Dexter on August 1, 2016, at the age of 92 years, 9 months and 3 days.

Hutch graduated from Grinnell, Iowa schools in 1942. Served in the U.S. Navy from 1942 through 1946, where he served in the Pacific area. He spent 42 years in the lumber business, first in Grinnell and Manson, Iowa; he then moved to Sikeston to work at the Robison Lumber Company. He established the ABF Home Center on Davis Blvd in 1972 where he worked until his retirement in 1992. He was a member of the Sikeston Chamber of Commerce and enjoyed being Sec.-Tres. of the SIDC for several years. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American Legion, the V.F.W. and the Dexter Elks Lodge. After his retirement he moved to his farm west of Bloomfield and later moved to Dexter.

He was married to Polly J. Sheets of Dexter.

Surviving are his wife, Polly J. Sheets of Dexter; one soon, Jack Hutchison of Springfield, Missouri; two daughters, Rebecca Prindle of Van Buren, Jo Ann Hutchison of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Staci Hutchison of Knoxville, Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by two sons, Richard & and Scott Hutchison; three sisters, Doris Breiting, Betty Mann and Lynn Bauchman.

Friends may call on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, Missouri.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Dexter, Missouri with Pastor Ron Beaton and Rev. Mike Williams both of Dexter, Missouri officiating.

Interment will follow in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri with full military honors. Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Dexter, Missouri is in charge of arrangements.
