MISSING IN RAIDStaff Sergt. William J. Focht, 22, has been missing in action since Sept. 30 over Germany, the war department has informed his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Focht, 4051 Cottage Grove Ave.
Sergeant Focht is a waist gunner on a Flying Fortress and had completed at least 30 combat missions. He has the air medal and three oak leaf clusters.
He is a graduate of Roosevelt High school; entered the army air forces a year and a half ago and was sent to England in May.
A brother, Flight Officer Richard C. Focht, is a P-39 pilot in California.
