D. WOMELDORFF

Dawson G. Womeldorff, 67, Dixon, a former area resident, died Saturday at St. Anthony's Hospital, Rockford. His funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Dixon, with the Rev. Merle Hall officiating. Burial will be in Chapel Hill Memorial Park at Dixon. Friends may call from 7 until 8:30 p.m. today at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Dixon.

He was born March 24, 1908 at Chenoa, a son of Gilbert and Anna (Dawson) Womeldorff. He married Edna Lois Wheeler at Montezuma, Iowa on Oct. 11, 1930. He was employed with the Public Service Co. in Pontiac for several years and owned and operated Dawson's Coin Wash and Soft Water Service in Dixon. He was a member of the Dixon Methodist Church and Friendship Lodge.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. H.E. (Marilyn) Schendel, Tallahassee, Fla. and Mrs. Joseph (Nancy) Fontana, Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, D.A. Womeldorff of Glen Ellyn; one sister, Mrs. Gordon (Eileen) Walter of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; and six grandchildren.

A memorial fund has been established.
