EVELYN RASKE DEGEN

Evelyn Raske Degen, 88, of Pinellas Park, Fla., passed away on Sept. 15, 2010. After living most of her life in the Quad-Cities area, she retired to Florida in 1975.

The visitation and Catholic burial services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, at Royal Palms North Funeral Home, 2600 Gandy Blvd North, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, for further information please call (727) 577-0599. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made in Evelyn's name to the American Cancer Society at (800) 227-2345.

Survivors include daughters, Judi Raske, South Daytona, Fla., Sharon (James) Davidson, Bloomfield, Iowa, Barbara (Arthur) Penny, South Pasadena, Fla.; sons, Tom (Janet) Raske, Geneseo, Bob Raske, Bettendorf, Steve (Linda) Raske, Colona, Brian Degan, Clearwater, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Cozene Korthals, East Moline.

Our loving mother, grandmother and friend was preceded in death by husband of 25 years, Chester Raske and husband of 30 years, Vernon Degen; along with her daughter and son-in-law, Anne and George Mitts; and sisters, Helen Ward and Florence Gergley.
