CLARENCE MAIN
FUNERAL SUNDAY

Clarence Main was born near Searsboro, Iowa, April 22, 1880. He died at Grinnell, September 11, 1928, at the age of 48 years, four months and 23 days.

He was united in marriage to Minnie Stanley Reeves, August 25, 1909. To this union were born three children, Marvin, who died in infancy and Leon and Millard, who, with a step-son, Ransom Reeves, survive him.

In addition to these he is survived by his wife, his father and mother, Aaron and Martha Main; three brothers, Charles of Newton, Iowa, Joshua of Searsboro, Iowa, and Aaron Jr. of Grinnell; five sisters, Mrs. Eleanor Gause of Lynnville, Iowa, Mrs. William Doud, and Mrs. Claude Naylor of Grinnell, Mrs. Claude Bailey of Boulder, Colorado, and Mrs. Charles Jacques of Denver, Colorado. Besides these three are other relatives and friends who will mourn his loss.

The funeral was held Sunday afternoon in the Baptist Church of Grinnell, Rev. H.C. Rice, officiating. Music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Bohstedt, Mrs. Howard Hyde and Cecil Myers. The church, including balcony, was entirely filled with the friends of Mr. Main. The pallbearers were Floyd Stewart, Matt Smith, Raymond Pilgrim, Shell Coop, Charles Neister, and Fred Chase.
