MRS. HERMAN WISEMILLER

Louisa Stever was born in New York State November 2, 1848, and died at her home in Grinnell, January 17, 1921, aged 72 years, one month, and ten days. In her girlhood days she moved with her parents to Defiance, Ohio, where September 13, 1866 she was united in marriage to Herman Wisemiller. In 1869 Mr. and Mrs. Wisemiller moved to Illinois, living one year at Gardner and eight years at Streator. August 22, 1878 they moved to Grinnell, where they lived happily together until October 11, 1918, when Mr. Wisemiller was called to his eternal home.

Four children were born to this union, three of whom survive the parents, John Wisemiller, of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Christina MacDonald, of Des Moines, and Mrs. Mary Reavis, of this city with whom the mother has made her home. One daughter, Celestia, died at the age of twelve years. She also leaves thirteen grandchildren, six great grandchildren, other relatives and a host of friends to mourn her loss. Mrs. Wisemiller was converted early in life and united with the Methodist Church, and later with the Friends Church, of which she remained a loyal member until the time of her death. She has been in poor health since 1908, during which time she has been a patient sufferer. As a mother she was always loving and devoted to her family, as a neighbor she proved her kindness of heart by always manifesting interest in the needs and sufferings of others. She will be missed by all who knew her, but our loss is heaven's gain.

The funeral was held Monday afternoon, Mrs. Emma Rosenberger, and Rev. Joseph Sopher conducting the services. Those present from out of town were, John Wisemiller, of Chicago, Christina MacDonald, of Des Moines, Harry MacDonald, of Waterloo, Roman MacDonald, Ross MacDonald, Elmer MacDonald and Clifford MacDonald all of Des MOines.
