Mrs. Gus Bral, Colfax Resident, Dies on Sunday
Colfax - Mrs. Gus (Marie Louise) Bral, 59 of Colfax, died Saturday in the University hospital at Iowa City of a kidney disease.
A rosary will be said today at 7:30 p.m. at the Toland Funeral home. Burial rites will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the Immaculate Conception Catholic church conducted by the Rev. J. W. McEleney. Burial will be in the Colfax cemetery.
Mrs. Bral was born in Belgium and married Gus Bral there in 1922. She had lived in Jasper county for eight years.
She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. William (Marguerite) Henning of Colfax; five grandchildren; and a sister and two brothers living in Belgium.

Services Held For Mrs. Marie Bral
Services for Marie L. Bral who died Saturday, were held at Immaculate Conception church in Colfax Tuesday morning. Father J. W. McEleney was in charge. The rosary was recited Monday night at Toland funeral home. Burial was in Colfax Cemetery.
Mrs. Bral lived in the United States for 33 years and was a resident of Jasper county for eight years. Before that she lived in the Grinnell and Kellogg area. She was born in Belgium.
Pallbearers were Raymond Bell, Carl Henning, Ted Henning, Frank Morgan, Marvin Cooper and Albert C. Henning.

Mrs. Gust Bral of Colfax passed away at the University hospital at Iowa City, July 21.
Mary Louise Laroy was born in Belgium October 10, 1896. In 1922 she married Gus Bral also of Belgium. Soon after their marriage they came to Iowa, first settling on a farm near Brooklyn, Iowa.
A few years later they moved to the vicinity of Grinnell, Iowa, where they farmed for many years. They had one daughter, Margaret, (Mrs. William Henning) who lived at Colfax, Iowa and in order to be near her and her family they quit farming and moved to Colfax, which was her home at the time of her death.
She is survived by her husband, her daughter, Mrs. William Henning, five grandchildren, one sister, and two brothers living in Belgium.
Funeral services were held July 24 in Newton by Rev. J. W. McElnrey. Burial at Colfax cemetery. Their many friends extended their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
