ROBY ANN NELSON,
FORMER TEACHER
DIES IN CALIFORNIA

Word was received this week of the death of Miss Roby Ann Nelson, a former art supervisor in the Grinnell public schools. She died July 17, in Sausalito, Calif.

A graduate of Iowa State Teachers College and of New York's Pratt art school, Miss Nelson was well known as an illustrator of children's stories. Many of her students are now professional commercial artists. She taught here from 1932-34.

Among her former students who are now commercial artists are Bob Douglas, Gifford Hiser, Wendall Bates, and Bob Neely.
