DEATH CALLS
MRS. W. WHITE

Wellknown Grinnell Woman Passes
Away At Her Home Saturday
Morning.

HER HUSBAND PRECEDED
HER ONLY A FEW DAYS.

Mrs. White was 67 Years Old And
Had Made Her Home in Grin-
nell Since 1902.

Mrs. William White, widow of the late William White, passed away at her home at 711 Park street Saturday morning at about 7:45 o'clock, exactly nine days following the death of Mr. White. She was 67 years old.

Funeral services are being held this afternoon from the home, conducted by the Rev. George Blagg. Interment will be in Hazelwood.

Mrs. White bore the brunt of the care of her husband during his last illness and since his death her overtaxed strength has given way and she has been confined to her bed. She had been in failing health for some time and her weakened condition made it possible for the fatal disease from which she suffered to make fresh inroads on her health and strength.

Flora Alice Emely, daughter of Isaac Emely and Babala Ann Crisp was born in Harrison county, Illinois on July 8, 1862. When a young woman she was married to A.E. Greene and the two made their home at Boone and Nevada for many years until Mr. Greene's death in the late Nineties.

On September 17, 1902 the deceased was married to William C. White of Grinnell at Nevada. Two days later they started house-keeping at 711 Park street, Grinnell and had made their home there in the intervening twenty-seven years.

The nearest surviving relative is Mrs. J.M. Jones of Collins, Iowa, who with her husband, have spent almost half of the time here for the past two years. This kindly old couple have been a great comfort and support to Mr. and Mrs. White in their last days. They were home but a week when re-called here by Mr. White's passing. Since that time they have been constantly with Mrs. White.
