LOUISE ANN SIMPSON

Louise Ann Simpson, 59, of Toledo died Thursday, May 2, 2007, following a long illness, in Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 5, in Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Mary Schnepf, pastor, officiating. Interment followed at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. A memorial fund has been established.

She was born June 26, 1947, in Grinnell, the daughter of Lyle Jerome and Arlene H. Goodlow Goodwin. She was a graduate of BGM High School in Brooklyn. She was united in marriage on Jan. 17, 1964, with Larry Simpson in Malcom. She was employed in the Chevrolet dealership in Toledo and in the medical office of Dr. Dennis Mallory.

She enjoyed quilting, crafts, camping, playing cards and time with her dogs, as well as cooking and canning produce from her garden, especially salsa.

She is survived by her husband Larry Simpson of Toledo one son, Eugene "Bud" Simpson of Altoona; one daughter,; one sister Linda Albers of Russellville, Ark.; her stepmother, Bea Goodwin of Grinnell and her beloved dog, Missy. She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Jeremy J., in infancy.
