FORREST MORROW, 63

Forrest Marvin Morrow, 63, of rural Montezuma died suddenly on Thursday, November 20, 1997.

Funeral services were Saturday, November 22 at Watt Funeral Home in Montezuma. The Rev. John Darlington of Montezuma officiated.

"Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross" were musical selections.

Casket bearers were Mark Thomas, Larry Steele, Kenneth Schultz, Mick Talbert, Wiley Van Ommen and Doyle Schultz.

The Masonic-IOOF Cemetery in Montezuma was the place of interment.

Forrest was born September 28, 1934 on a farm six miles west of Montezuma, the son of Hiram Robert and Ida Vivian Ruth Bergstrom Morrow. He graduated from Montezuma High School in 1952. Frosty was a farmer and for many years also worked at Maytag in Newton, retiring in 1993.

He was a member of the Montezuma United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George and Paul, who died in infancy and Bruce Wakeley, who was raised in the Morrow home.

Forrest is survived by two sisters, Frances Schlesselman of Malcom and Elaine and her husband, George Willis of Cedar Rapids; one brother, Robert Morrow and wife Margaret of Montezuma and Jack Wakeley, who was raised in the Morrow home and wife Anna Mae of Malcom; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Memorials may be directed to the Montezuma Volunteer Fire Department.
