PHYLLIS ANN NOELLER

Phyllis Ann Noeller, 73, of Brooklyn, died Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at her home following an extended illness. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Kloster Funeral Home in Brooklyn with Dennis Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. A memorial fund has been established.

Phyllis Ann Ginn was born June 19, 1936, in St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Morris Ginn and Vera Christenson Ginn Akers. She graduated from McKinley High School in Cedar Rapids with the class of 1953. She married Marvin P. Noeller on July 24, 1971, in Cedar Rapids. Phyllis and Marvin operated the Linn County Nursery in Center Point with her brother Wayne and wife Sandi until retiring. In retirement, Phyllis and Marvin lived in Maui, Hawaii, for 15 years. Phyllis enjoyed her family and friends, and socializing at her lake home. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling and outins to the casinos.

She is survived by her sons, John C. Baumhoefener III of Keystone, and Paul James Baumhoefener of Cross Junction, Va.; her daughter, Barbara Nangle of Brooklyn; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister Judith Newgaard of Cedar Rapids and a brother Wayne Ginn of Chandler, Ariz.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin, and a son Tom Baumhoefener.
