THOMAS ICENBICE

Tom Icenbice, 51 of Guernsey passed away Saturday, April 11, 2009 at his home. Funeral services will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday at the Holland-Coble Funeral Home in Montezuma. Visitation will begin after 1:00 P.M. Monday with the family present from 5 to 7 Monday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Armah Cemetery in rural Millersburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the family's name.

Thomas Vaughn Icenbice, son of Max and Pauline (Rank) Icenbice was born on October 2, 1957 in Grinnell, Iowa. He was a 1976 graduate of Tri County High School. Tom later graduated from an automotive school in Wichita, Kansas. In 1975 he was united in marriage to Peggy Ann Stevenson. They later divorced. Tom worked various mechanic jobs in several states in the eastern part of the United States. In 2005 he moved back to Iowa where he continued to work as a mechanic. Tom had a very large and giving heart. He will be truly missed by his family and friends. Tom enjoyed fishing, working on cars and helping family and friends.

His memory will be cherished by his mother, Pauline Icenbice of Deep River; his brother, Joseph Icenbice of Deep River; his sister, Anita (Ray) LeGrand of Cedar Rapids; three nephews, Michael N. (Amy) Icenbice and their children, Michael M. and Molly Kay of Cedar Rapids, Mathew C. Icenbice of Deep River and Andrew Icenbice of Cedar Rapids and a daughter and a son.

Tom was preceded in death by his father, Max Icenbice; a brother, Micahel Icenbice; a sister, Barbara Icenbice and a nephew, David Icenbice.
