BARBARA A. ICENBICE, 44

Barbara Ann Icenbice, 44, of rural Deep River, died Tuesday evening Oct. 4, 2005 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.

Her funeral service was Friday, Oct. 7, at Watts Funeral Home with Shirley Van Dee of Marion officiating. Watts Funeral Home of Montezuma was in charge of the arrangements.

Casketbearers were Matt Icenbice, Dave Icenbice, Mike Icenbice, Ray LeGrand, Steve Minner, Dan VanHoever and Ralph Gatton.

Barb was born Feb. 6, 1961 at Grinnell, the daughter of Max D. and Pauline, F. (Rank) Icenbice. She graduated from Tri-County High School in 1979. A waitress and bartender most of her life, she loved her son, playing the guitar and her animals.

Barb is survived by her son, Andrew Icenbice of Montezuma; her significant other, Fred Riddle, of Deep River; her mother, Pauline Icenbice, of Deep River; a sister, Anita (and Ray) LeGrand of Cedar Rapids, and two brothers, Joseph, of Deep River, and Tom, of Jackson, Ga., and other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, Max, and brother Michael in 1979.
