RUBY HUTCHISON SERVICES TODAY

Mrs. Ruby Mae Hutchison, 81, of the Mayflower Home died late Monday evening at Grinnell General Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. today at the Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Daniel Ogata, pastor of the Grinnell First United Presbyterian Church officiating. Organist will be Mrs. Kathleen Heffner. Pall bearers will be Loring Rohr, Robert McMeekin, John Peak, Harry Ryan, Robert W. Baumann, and Eugene Holley. Burial will be in Hazelwood Cemetery.

Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the First United Presbyterian Church.

The daughter of Herbert and Lower? Wells, she was born Jan. 28, 1895, at Means, Kan. While she was young, her family came to Grinnell, and she attended school here.

She was married to Herbert Willis Hutchison on March 15, 1916, at Grinnell. The couple had four children. Soon after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Hutchison moved to Canada to homestead a farm. They later lived in Montana, returning to Grinnell in 1923. Mr. Hutchison owned and operated a furniture and appliance store for a number of years.

Mrs. Hutchison was a member of the Grinnell First United Presbyterian Church. She had also been a member of the Daughters of Union Veterans and the Rebekah Lodge.

Survivors include her four children, Mrs. Gene (Doris) Breiting of Grinnell, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Mann of Hampton, Ill., Bryce Hutchison of Sikeston, Mo., and Mrs. Lynn Bachman of Tampa, Fla.; 18? grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Elsie Barnes of Newton. She was preceded in death by her husband, Herb, on Oct. 30, 1956; two grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd Wells.
