LYNNVILLE DIES

Lynnville, Ia., April10, Special:

Boston Allen Turner, son of Walter and Martha Turner, was born in Marshall county, Iowa, August 22, 1859 and departed this life April 1, 1934, at the age of 74 years, 7 months and 10 days. He resided in Marshall county until he was four years old, when he came with his parents to Jasper county and spent the rest of his life in and around Lynnville.

The past four years his health has been failing and in December he became seriously ill and on the 17th day of February was taken to the hospital in Iowa City.

His devoted wife and daughter were with him during his illness and were at his bedside when he quietly passed away. He was married to Elizabeth Sparks on the ?th of November, 1886, and to this union were born three children, Nellie De Bruyn, who departed this life on November 29, 1925, Walter B. and Florence Beyer, both of Long Beach, Calif.; also four grandchildren, Deverne and Elizabeth De Bruyn and Charles and Margaret Turner, and one great-grandson, Billie De Bruyn.

He was converted in the Friends church at Sugar Creek in 1905 and has ever kept the faith. He was also a member of the Masonic lodge for thirty-five years. In his home he was an ever loving husband and father and counted as his friends people of all ages. He was one of a family of nine children. One sister, Mrs. Sarah Gould of Canada, survives him. Funeral services were held in the Friends church Wednesday, April 4, in charge of Rev. Giles Youngquist. The music was furnished by A.T. Gifford and Charles Potter, accompanied by Mrs. A.T. Gifford. Burial was in the Woodland Cemetery.
