INMATE STRANGLES

Funeral services were held this afternoon at the Ewart Methodist church for Harry Porter, 45, an inmate of the county home at Montezuma who died Sunday afternoon. Porter, a deaf mute, was sent to the meat house for some meat and died when he strangled on a piece of beef steak he put in his mouth. Prompt medical attention was given, but to no avail.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Maude Copeland of Ewart, and Mrs. Flora Van Draska and Mrs. Nina Lee of this city, and two brothers, Bart of Ewart and Tom of Newton.
