MRS. KINSEY SERVICES SET

Violett V. Kinsey, 89, of the Mayflowe Home died Monday evening at the Mayflower Health Care Center.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, in Denison Chapel of the Mayflower Home, with the Rev. Philip J. Ramstad of the United Church of Christ-Congregational officiating.

Mrs. Kinsey's body was donated to medical science.

The daughter of Axel and Eldora Cross Skortman, she was born March 15, 1891, near Madrid. She attended Madrid public schools and later graduated from Drake University.

Following her graduation, she returned to Madrid and was married to Charles E. Kinsey on Sept. 28, 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Kinsey made their home in Madrid, and she taught music in her home. Following her husband's death in 1956, she continued to live in Madrid until moving to the Mayflower Home in 1964.

She was a member of the D.A.R. and a life member of the Order of Eastern Star in Madrid. She was also a member of the United Church of Christ-Congregational in Grinnell.

Survivors include a son, K.K. Kinsey of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
