LEWIS A. MORRISON

Lewis A. Morrison, 94, of Grinnell died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2008, at the Mayflower Community.

A private family service is being held. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Grinnell or Mayflower.

He was born Oct. 15, 1914, at his family's farm near Thornburg to Bert and Emma McArter Morrison. He attended Thornburg schools through seventh grade, then became a full-time farmer. He was united in marriage with Mildred Lamb of What Cheer on Dec. 19, 1936. They had four children: Marie Raber, now of Kellogg; Lewis Eugene of Grinnell; Betty Reams of Spokane, Wash.; and David of Hollywood, Calif. He was employed by Farm Services, Campbell and King, Mormon Feed, Eisenman Motors and Hunter Mechanics, all of Grinnell. He also had his own machine shop for ten years in Hollywood, Calif.

He is survived by his wife Mildred and three children, nine grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother; four sisters; one son, David; and two grandchildren.
