THOMAS PARSONS
DIES THANKSGIVING
DAY IN MISSOURI

Word was received in Grinnell last week of the death of Prof. Thomas M. Parsons, 47, on Thanksgiving Day at Springfield, Missouri where he was a faculty member of Drury College.

Prof. Parsons, a former Grinnell resident, was the son of Dr. H.C. Parsons who formerly practiced here. Dr. Parsons preceded his son in death only a few months ago.

Prof. Parsons was on the faculty of Grinnell College from 1946 to 1950. He was a 1931 graduate of the State University of Iowa and obtained his M.S. degree there in 1937. He had completed several summers of work towards his Ph.D. degree.

Funeral services were held at Springfield last Saturday. Officials at Drury College indicated that a memorial fund in his name will be started at that school and that contributions will be accepted.

In addition to his wife, Prof. Parsons is survived by three children.
