VIVA LOLA ADAMS

On Monday, February 16, occurred the funeral of Miss Viva Lola Adams, the sixteen year old daughter of Mr. Irving and Mrs. Rosa Adams of Newburg, who died of typhoid fever.

The services were in charge of Rev. L.F. Chamberlain of Iowa City, who preached from Hosea XIII:11. The remains were borne to the grave by six young men, her cousins.

The deceased was greatly beloved by all who knew her. The large number who gathered from all directions for the funeral services were a testimonial to the loveliness and purity of her life as were the generous gifts of flowers and the expressions of sympathy heard on every side. The deceased was a Christian and a beautiful character. Her early taking away is hard to reconcile but the sorrowing family are comforted by the thought that she waits for them on the other shore where is no parting nor sorrow nor evil.
