LITTLE JANET LOUISE
BONNETT MEETS TRAGIC
DEATH BY DROWNING

Tragedy struck suddenly Saturday at about 12:30 p.m. at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bonnett, who live in the country west of the Russell Baggs home. The body of their infant daughter, Janet Louise, was found floating in the watering tank for stock. The little girl had evidently climbed up and fallen into the water while playing about the yard. She had been missing for only about 15 minutes. When efforts to revive her failed, she was rushed to the St. Francis hospital but medical skill was too late to save her life.

Little Janet Louise would have been 2 years old in February. Her father is time keeper at the Lennox foundry. There are two other children in the home, a son, David, aged 6 and a daughter, Sharon, 4. Mr. and Mrs. Bonnett have lived in Grinnell for 18 months.

Funeral services in charge of Rev. Father F.A. Moore, will be held at St. Mary's church at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Little Creek cemetery at North English.
